8.2.5. Number Reader
Write a program that reads the random numbers from the
random_numbers.txt
file you created in Number Writer. The program
should then calculate and display the following data about the numbers in the
file:
the number of random numbers
the minimum of the numbers
the maximum of the numbers
the sum of the numbers
the average of the numbers
Sample Output
Since the numbers are randomly generated, your sum and average should be
different.
Ensure your program’s output matches the provided samples exactly.
This includes all characters, white space, and punctuation. In the
samples, user input is highlighted like
this for clarity, but your program should not highlight user
input in this way.
Sample Output
$ python3 number_reader_login.py
9,001 numbers were read from the file.
Min: 1,119
Max: 1,217
Sum: 10,515,826
Avg: 1,168.3
Deliverables
Save your finished program as number_reader_login.py
,
replacing login
with your Purdue login. Then submit it along with
all the deliverables listed in
Table 8.9 below.
